Lace up your running shoes, grab your costume, and bring the whole crew to the Prescott Courthouse Plaza on Saturday, October 25th, 2025, for the biggest Halloween celebration of the season!
The Yavapai CASA for Kids Foundation’s 11th Annual Costumes for Kids 5K & Halloween Fest is back and better than ever! Sparklight proudly sponsors this year’s 5K and festival, and it will be packed with fun for all ages! The event includes music from Fly by Night Entertainment, carnival-style games and prizes, free food, face painting, raffles, and an exciting costume contest with prizes for youth, adults, and groups. Aside from the festivities, there are two races participants can register for: the 5K scenic run through downtown Prescott and the 1-mile fun run around the Courthouse Square.
“Every year, the energy is electric,” said Mona Stephens, Development Director at Yavapai CASA for Kids Foundation. “Kids show up in their best costumes, families enjoy the activities, and runners bring their A-game! It’s a joyful day that raises awareness and support for a powerful cause.”
All youth 16 and under, as well as foster families and kinship placements, are invited to attend and run for free. Proceeds from the event directly benefit local foster youth by funding emergency needs, housing support, scholarships, and enrichment opportunities.
Sponsorship packages start at just $35, with higher levels offering valuable marketing perks including year-long website exposure, logo placement on race shirts, social media spotlights, radio mentions, and more. In-kind donations like food, raffle prizes, and race-day supplies are also welcome.
“It takes a village to uplift our foster youth,” said Executive Director Yvonne Bartlett. “This event gives everyone a chance to play a part in that mission; whether you’re sponsoring, volunteering, running, or just showing up in costume to cheer people on.”

Let’s make this Halloween unforgettable for the kids who need us most.
