The Yavapai CASA for Kids Foundation was presented a check in the amount of $21,000 on Tuesday, December 5, 2023. The check comes from the Festival of Trees Prescott, of which Yavapai CASA for Kids was chosen as the 2023 beneficiary.
The Festival of Trees Prescott is a non-profit whose mission is supporting other local non-profits. Together with local businesses, the Festival of Trees honors Prescott’s heritage as Arizona’s Christmas City by creating a wonderland of Christmas trees and wreaths for the community to admire and purchase.
Yavapai CASA for Kids participated in the event, as well. Their tree, “Little Hands, Big Hearts” was decorated with ornamental cut-outs of decorative hearts and children’s hands, paying homage to the children they serve. This year was Yavapai CASA for Kids’ first year as beneficiary of the Festival of Trees. Yavapai CASA for Kids would like to thank Festival of Trees and Starstruck Event Planning for choosing their organization as the 2023 beneficiary. In addition, the foundation would also like to thank everyone who helped make their tree and the 6th annual Festival of Trees Prescott successful.
“It takes a village and there is truly no better village than our community,” said Mona Stephens, development director of Yavapai CASA for Kids. “We are honored and grateful to have been asked to be a part of this and to have been chosen as the beneficiary. These funds are a gift that will continue to give through our programs and spread joy to our foster youth.”
Yavapai CASA for Kids is a 501(c)(3) non-profit whose mission is enriching the lives of Yavapai County’s foster youth. For more information or how to get involved, visit yavapaicasaforkids.org or call (928) 445-0800.
