Yavapai CASA for Kids Foundation is excited to announce its 10th annual Costumes for Kids 5K Fun Run and Halloween Fest on October 26th. The Foundation calls on the community for support through sponsorships, in-kind donations, event vendors, and volunteers to ensure the success of this milestone event.
The Costumes for Kids 5K Fun Run and Halloween Fest promises a fun-filled morning with a live DJ from Fly by Night Entertainment, carnival-like games and prizes, raffles, costume contests, a 5K run through downtown Prescott, and a 1-mile fun run option.
“This event truly offers something for everyone,” said Mona Stephens, Development Director with the Yavapai CASA for Kids Foundation. “Adults get just as excited for the costume contest as the kids do for the games, and the runners are eager to win medals.”
This family-friendly event raises funds to enhance the lives of nearly 300 foster youth in the county. Attendance is free for all youth 16 and under, as well as for foster families and kinship placements.
The Foundation has sponsorships starting at as low as $30, with the top sponsorship level at $2,500. Perks include logo placement on the Foundation’s website for a year, social media spotlights, print and radio mentions, and logo placement on race-day shirts. The Foundation also welcomes in-kind donations such as race-day pizza, coffee, prize baskets, raffle items, ad space, and race-day bags. Community members are encouraged to volunteer or share the event widely to ensure a successful turnout.
“It takes a community to support these children through their most difficult times, and we are looking for community members who want to join us in supporting these vulnerable youth,” said Yvonne Bartlett, Executive Director of the Yavapai CASA for Kids Foundation.
