Yavapai CASA for Kids Foundation 2023 Christmas Holiday Toy Drive

As we fly into the holiday season, we remember all that we are grateful for and the joy of giving. This season, the Yavapai CASA for Kids Foundation is seeking the community’s help with the donation of gifts for their annual Christmas Holiday Toy Drive. These gifts will benefit foster youth all throughout Yavapai County. Donations are being accepted now through Friday, December 8th.

For some children, this will be their first holiday season away from their families, for many others this is not the most magical time of year. Which is why, for the last 17 years, Yavapai CASA for Kids has helped make the Christmas season a little brighter. Each year, donation boxes are placed in businesses and organizations throughout Yavapai County. For children from birth to age 21, Yavapai CASA for Kids asks community members to keep foster youth in mind when shopping and place a new, unwrapped gift in one of the boxes. From the obvious items like toys and clothes to the not so obvious items like art kits and gift cards, the possibilities are endless.

“We are especially asking community members to think of the young adults in care who will soon age out of the system,” says Chairwoman Missy Sikora. “These youth are without the natural support systems that many of us take for granted, and, if not for the community’s generosity, may go without any gifts at all.”

So, why wait?! This holiday season, be a hero to Yavapai County’s foster youth.

Collection boxes are out now and can be found throughout Yavapai County. Gift collection sites include Yavapai CASA for Kids’ offices in Prescott Valley, Founding Father’s Collective, the Verde Brewing Company, and so many more.

For more information, how to get involved, and a full list of collection sites visit the Yavapai CASA for Kids website at yavapaicasaforkids.org or call (928) 445-0800.
