It was a tough day for some and a better day for others, like Trisha Lincoln, who was focused from the start to win the overall tournament championship at the Chunglo Insurance Agency Open at Watson Lake Park.
The temperatures were perfect but the increasing windy conditions made it more of a challenge to some.

Lincoln was not the favorite but was able to sweep the top player Mike Massari and won all six of her games pitching at a 66.67 ringer percentage. Cody Williams after dropping his first two games, rallied down the stretch to take second place. Lincoln overcame Williams in their second game in the final three frames after trailing by three to win by six with five of her six final tosses for ringers.
Class B champion was Hal Handelman, who dominated all day and swept his games by pitching seven percentage points above his ringer percentage average. Handelman outscored his opponents 225-79 in four games.
Emmett Jones just beat out Bruce Taylor for second place by a few percentage points, despite losing to Taylor in the final game of the day.
Brian Belcher swept Class C with big wins in his first games, and narrowly getting past Terry Sloan (42-37) and Steve Harman (45-42). The slim loss by Harman to Belcher sent Steve home with second place.

Prescott Valley will host a tournament this Saturday, and the final tournament of the season at Watson Lake will be held on Saturday, September 28 at 9 am.
