Jacob Chamberlain and Braylon Johnson combined for 423 yards rushing and four touchdowns to lead the Badgers to a 50-36 win at Prescott High School.
Chamberlain rushed 31 times for 246 yards and three touchdowns and Johnson ran 21 times for 177 more yards and a TD.
Jacob Chamberlain said, “Huge win for us. We have four players out and the dogs stepped up. Great team over there but we wanted this and worked hard all week in practice for this moment.” Chamberlain had this to say about his big and dominate offensive line. “The big boys up front are making the biggest holes I have ever seen. Braylon and I just took advantage of what they were giving us, so hats off to them.”
Prescott accumulated 532 yards of total offense with 432 of those yards coming on the ground. The two teams combined for 1016 yards of offense.
Quarterback James Heffrin who was 9-14 for 100 yards and two touchdowns, said, “I worked really hard this week getting prepared to face a really good team. We knew it would be a game against the number three team in the state”. The sophomore found himself running the Badgers offense a week ago when he entered in the second half after the first two QBs left with injuries. “I got the call to go in and knew I had to get out there and do my best. This team has a lot of good players that work together and we showed that tonight.”

One of the reasons the offense is being so successful is offensive tackle Beau Brice. The junior lineman said, “We just want to go there on every play and smack it to them. Get them on the ground and not let up. We know if we do our job the guys behind us will take care of the rest.”
Prescott trailed early but led 21-14 at the half and again at 28-14 before the Crusaders scored twice to tie the game at 28 by the end the third quarter.
A key moment in the game came when Northwest Christian was driving and on the verge of tying the score again at 35, but the Crusader receiver fumbled the ball and Marco Campuzano recovered the ball at the Badger one yard line, ending the threat.
Northwest Christian was led by quarterback Laki Wallwork, who was 28-41-2 for 299 yards and four touchdowns. Wallwork also was an effective runner with 89 yards and a touchdown. Nathan Johannes was a dual threat, rushing for 93 yards and catching eight passes for 74 yards.
Chopper Penzkover caught five passes, three for touchdowns. Zayne Wallwork also caught five passes for 77 yards and a touchdown.
Landon Beckman had seven catches for 82 yards as the Crusaders finished with 484 yards of total offense.
Besides the massive Prescott rushing attack, Kenny Miller-Terry led all receivers with eight catches for 97 yards and two touchdowns.
