On 12/07/2024 at approximately 5:10 pm Chino Valley Police Department Officers were notified of a motorcycle crash at State Route 89 and Outer Loop Road.
Officers arrived at the scene and discovered a motorcycle had driven onto the roundabout apron and struck a curb on the opposite side. Through investigation, officers determined the black 2012 Harley Davidson was traveling southbound on State Route 89, entering the roundabout at Outer Loop Road, when the driver lost control of his motorcycle. The motorcycle went onto the roundabout apron, traveled across the sidewalk on the roundabout, re-entered the roadway on the southwest end of the roundabout, and struck a curb, causing the motorcycle to tumble and eject the driver.
The male driver, 60-year-old Curtis Christians of Prescott Valley, AZ was flown to Deer Valley Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries on 12/10/2024.
The crash remains under investigation.
