Constitutional Conservatives to Host Rep Selina Bliss, Saturday, January 18

The local chapter of Yavapai County’s Conservatives for a Constitutional Republic (ConCR)  has announced that LD1 Representative Selina Bliss(R), will speak at their monthly meeting this Saturday, January 18, 2025, in Chino Valley. The meeting is free and open to the public but seating is limited. Those wishing to attend are asked to RSVP.

Representative Bliss was re-elected to her second term in the Arizona House in November as the top vote getter for one of LD1’s two legislative seats. On Monday, January 13th, she was sworn in as a member of Arizona’s 57th legislative session.

Republicans will continue to control both the State Senate and House of Representatives in the 57th session with expanded majorities.  In the 60 member House of Representatives, Republicans control the Chamber and all committees with a majority of 33 to 27 Democrats.  Rep Bliss will serve as Chair of the House Health and Human Services Committee as well as membership on the Transportation and Infrastructure and Judiciary committees.

In the 2024 election, Rep  Bliss campaigned as a  ‘Constitutional Conservative’.  As she  begins her second term,  she will share her legislative goals with ConCR  and offer an assessment of the prospects for conservative legislation presented by Arizona’s divided government.

The Yavapai County Chapter of Conservatives for a Constitutional Republic is a group of conservative activists dedicated to defending and promoting the values of representative government as set forth in the United States Constitution. They are a private organization and not directly affiliated with a political party. However, most members are registered Republicans or conservative leaning Independents who are civically engaged or are current or former elected officials or candidates for office.

ConCR meets monthly at the Bible Baptist Church, 3490 N. State Road 89,  in Chino Valley. Recent speakers include CD2 Congressman Eli Crane, Congressman Paul Gosar, Abe Hamadeh, State Senator Mark Finchem,  Sheriff David Rhodes, and many other prominent conservative figures and candidates for office.

ConCR is a membership organization.  However, in the interest of informing voters about important issues and candidates,  the appearances of guest speakers of high public interest are open to the public.  All those wishing to meet Rep. Selina Bliss and learn about the work of our State Legislature are cordially invited to attend. Time permitting,  Rep. Bliss will stand for questions from the audience.  Doors open at 11:00AM. The meeting will begin promptly at 11:15AM. RSVPs are requested and should be addressed to concr2018@gmail.com.
