The local chapter of Yavapai County’s Conservatives For A Constitutional Republic (ConCR) has announced that it will host Arizona Corporation Commission candidates Kevin Thompson and Nick Myers at their next meeting this Saturday, June 28th in Chino Valley. Both Mr. Thompson and Mr. Myers are Republican members of the Commission seeking reelection in the 2026 election cycle. The meeting is free and open to the public.  However,  seating is limited and an RSVP is requested.

Kevin Thompson was first elected to the five member Arizona Corporation Commission (ACC) in 2022. In 2025 he was elected Chairman. He previously served two terms on the Mesa City Council. Mr. Thompson is an engineer by training. Before entering public life, he spent 25 years in the private sector  primarily involved with the gas and water utilities.

Nick Myers was also first elected to the Corporation Commission in 2022.  He currently serves as Vice Chair. His professional background is in software engineering.  As a Commissioner, he has been active in streamlining the rate making process to promote public transparency and working to expand nuclear energy generation and gas pipeline infrastructure to meet Arizona’s growing energy needs.

The Yavapai County Chapter of Conservatives for a Constitutional Republic is a group of conservative activists dedicated to promoting and defending the values of representative government as set forth in the United States Constitution. They are a private organization and not directly affiliated with a political party. However, most members are registered Republicans or conservative leaning Independents who are civically engaged or are current or former elected officials or candidates for office.

ConCR meets monthly at the Bible Baptist Church, 3490 N. State Road 89, in Chino Valley. Recent speakers include CD2 Cong. Eli Crane, Yavapai County  Sheriff David Rhodes, County Supervisor Chris Kuknyo,  Arizona State Senate President Warren Peterson, and many other prominent conservative figures and candidates for office.

ConCR is a membership organization. However, in the interest of informing voters about important issues and candidates,  the appearances of guest speakers of high public interest are open to the public.  All those wishing to meet Corporation Commission members Kevin Thompson and Nick Myers and learn about energy and water regulation issues facing our state are cordially invited to attend. Time permitting, Mr. Thompson and Myers will stand for questions.

Doors open at 10:30am. The meeting will begin promptly at 11:15am. RSVP’s are requested and should be addressed to concr2018@gmail.com.
