Gratitude – Buz Blog

When praying, many theologians and religious leaders encourage us to express gratitude to our Creator for the gifts he has bestowed on us. Gratitude is an expression that extends beyond our religious life. When someone tells us of their gratitude to us for something we’ve done or said in our everyday life, it enhances our attitude and can make our day. We can see that effect on others when we tell them of our gratitude to them for any reason.

When we thank veterans, those in the military, law enforcement, firefighters, other first responders or those in public service, they may show some slight embarrassment, but they are happy for the recognition for what they do. We need to continue showing this gratitude.

After the moral, cultural and political erosion to our country from the left and their allies in the media, since at least 2008, it seems appropriate that we show our appreciation to President Trump and the amazing leaders in his Cabinet and Administration. They are in the process of turning our country around from an economically weak and fading country back to a militarily, economically strong and patriotic nation. Their accomplishments, in such a short amount of time, are awe inspiring and deserving of gratitude.

For years our borders were invaded by illegal immigrants. During the Biden presidency, with his encouragement, illegal immigration increased exponentially. The legacy press and the Biden Administration bombarded us daily with the pronouncement that nothing could be done until the Republicans and Congress “passed comprehensive immigration reform.” And yet, even before President Trump took office, there was a great decrease in the number of illegal crossings at our southern border. Now it is next to nothing. On top of that he is finishing the border wall and his Secretary of Homeland Security is painting it black, making it too hot to even touch during most of the year.

For the past few years, our military has been unable to meet their recruitment goals. Under the Trump Administration, they are more than meeting those goals as more and more military aged Americans are choosing to serve our country.

While the Biden regime, (and the Obama Administration), both promised to be the most “transparent” presidencies, in reality they were the least transparent. Now, President Trump invites the whole media in on his cabinet meetings. He and all of his cabinet members will answer questions posed to them, even from hostile members of the press.

More companies are returning their manufacturing to the United States. Foreign companies are investing billions of dollars into opening new plants and manufacturing here, thus creating hundreds of thousands, if not millions of new jobs. With the Trump government opening up new drilling for oil and natural gas, as well as more permits for mining, the number of high paying jobs will continue to increase. Real wages are increasing and that along with Trump’s “no taxes on tips” and “no taxes on overtime,” promises a renewal and an increase in the American middle class.

Culturally, Trump and his people are eliminating the woke policies of the Democrat/Biden years. DEI is being eliminated from our schools. The sexual transitioning of children is ending. The allowing of biological men in women’s sports is being effectively combated.

Hate and antisemitism in our colleges and universities is being addressed by law suits and the withholding of millions of dollars to those institutions. Criminal illegal aliens are being arrested and deported. Washington, DC, crime is being addressed by a federal takeover of the police and the positioning of National Guard troops. Strategies are being developed to address the crime waves in all of our big cities, all of which are run by Democrats.

For all of this and the many other “Promises made. Promises kept,” by the President and those in his administration, we all need to express our gratitude.
