When the indoctrination/propaganda press and Democrats called the January 6, 2021 protest and minor riot an insurrection, those with IQ’s above their height in inches, wondered where were the guns, rocks, bottles, bricks and Molotov cocktails used by the supposed insurrectionists. Funny those accusers didn’t refer to the BLM/Antifa, St George Floyd rioters as insurrectionists.
When an attempt is made to compare a one day incident to a summer of real insurrection, there is really no comparison. On January 6, 2021, only one person was killed and that was one of the protesters, veteran Ashli Babbitt in a very questionable shooting. The January 6 riot occurred at one location: Washington, DC. During the “summer of love” that was the BLM/Antifa insurrection, at least 19 people were killed and 700 police officers were injured in dozens of cities all over the country.
Now those same real insurrectionists are replaying those atrocities in Los Angeles County. They are using the same weapons of rocks, bottles, bricks, pyrotechnics and bags of urine and feces. The BLM/Antifa riots are being cloned and videos show the same masked insurrectionists, the same vehicle fires and the same graffiti and chaos. The only difference is that a lot of the violence is more intense and a lot more is being committed during daylight hours. Even without a current pandemic, it seems that almost all of the “protesters” and all of those committing the most violent acts are wearing masks and identity concealing headgear, hoodies or motorcycle helmets. My educated guess is that the rock, brick and pyrotechnic throwing criminals are Mexican Cartel members or close associates.
I believe I am uniquely qualified to comment on the original tepid response by Los Angeles PD and LA County Sheriff’s Office to assisting the ICE agents who were attempting to do their jobs of arresting criminal illegal aliens in Los Angeles County. I worked 29 years on the Long Beach Police Department.
I worked with the current Sheriff, Bob Luna, in the late 1990s. We were both sergeants in the Gang Enforcement Section of Long Beach PD. Bob Luna later made rank and was the Chief of Police in Long Beach for seven years. Although I never worked for him after he rose in rank, I enjoyed working with him in Gangs and considered him a friend. That doesn’t mean I think he was a good chief or that he is a good sheriff. I had no direct contact with Luna when he was chief, I only know that in the opinion of LBPD officers whom I trust, Chief Luna was indecisive.
I lost a lot of respect for Chief Luna on May 31, 2021. While the Long Beach Police were deployed in the Downtown business, restaurant and entertainment section, a riotous mob approached. Officers who were there at the time, said that they wanted to block the rioters. They had the equipment and the manpower to do so, but Chief Luna, after consulting with left wing radical Mayor, Robert Garcia, (who is now a Congressman), refused to let the officers do their duty. The result was looting of many of the area’s businesses and restaurants. The only excuse for Chief Luna is that he didn’t answer to the people of Long Beach, he served at the will of the mayor and/or the city council. If he didn’t do what Mayor Garcia wanted, he could have been fired. (This is a good example of why chiefs of police should be elected, so they are responsible to the people rather than the politicians.)
Current and retired LA County Deputies could give a better assessment of Sheriff Luna’s present leadership skills, but my sources of retired LASO deputies tell me that he is not well liked, doesn’t back up his troops and that under his leadership, morale in the Sheriff’s Department is the lowest it has ever been. That’s too bad and totally avoidable. The LA County Sheriff is an independent elected office. Although his budget is controlled by the LA County Supervisors, the Sheriff answers only to the people. It’s too bad, but Sheriff Luna seems to have attached his career to Democrat, left wing politicians. As a result, the LASO deputies and the people have to suffer with a lack of support, the early retirement of experienced personnel and lower recruitment. Who would want to work for any organization whose leaders don’t back them up.
I met the current LAPD Chief, Jim McDonnell about 25 years ago. A good friend of mine, Tim King, who had been a captain on LAPD, had passed away and I was one of his pallbearers. Jim McDonnell was a Deputy or Assistant Chief of the LAPD at the time. He had a great reputation with the rank and file of LAPD. A couple of years later, I saw him again and he remembered my name and we spoke about our mutual friend. In 2010, McDonnell was appointed Chief of Long Beach PD. Jim McDonnell was well respected by the troops and the City while in Long Beach. He served as Chief for almost five years until he was elected Sheriff of LA County. He served four years as Sheriff, but was voted out of office after one term.
The main complaint against Chief McDonnell in last week’s insurrection riot, is that when ICE was surrounded by the insurrectionists and called for assistance, it took LAPD at least a half an hour to respond. Chief McDonnell needs to explain that incomprehensible delay.
This was almost the perfect storm for those that want to destroy our country. Mayor Bass, Governor Newsom and the far left, woke state legislature have encouraged crime. They enacted no cash bail, lessened the penalties for crime and did virtually nothing to discourage, catch and prosecute mass shoplifting rings. With the constant berating of all of law enforcement by the propaganda press and Democrats, the number of law officers in California is so low that they can’t address these attacks that are paid for by the drug cartels and leftist NGOs. Thank God that President Trump learned the lesson of Minneapolis and sent in the National Guard and Marines so quickly.
Before he was appointed Deputy Director of the FBI, Dan Bongino would ask the question on his radio program, “Is it bad enough, yet?” He was asking the question to all of the voters, wondering if things were bad enough in the country to vote out all of the anti-American, left-wing, woke politicians and elect pro American candidates. That happened last November.
Well, California, is it bad enough yet?

I grew up in a Ghetto east of East Los Angeles in the 1970. Surburbia in Southern California stared out 1/2 Industry and 1/2 Semi-Rural Agriculture. I was a first-born son of Immigrant Parents. But the system required we checked the “White” box. We weren’t afforded all the social programs that other minorities were offered. We struggled and worked hard to survive.
The degradation of Southern California started in the 1970’s with;
1) Illegal Aliens;
Illegal Aliens who, after coming to California, brought their 3rd World Culture with them and refused to assimilate into the American Culture. They paid no taxes, yet enjoyed all the tax-payer funded programs, schools and ER visits.
2) Illegal Narcotics in the U.S.
The Narco Culture is truly ingrained into the Mexican Culture. From the very poor to the Elitist Rich in Mexico, Mexicans glamorize and accept the Narcotics Trade as a normal part of living and doing business. Murders, Smuggling and Money Laundering are accepted and further exasperate living conditions on BOTH sides of the Border.
3) Liberalism;
In the 1950’s thru the 1960’s California was a hub of an Industrial Boom for the West. Conservative values led this Industrial Development. U.S. Citizens from all over the U.S. came to California for a better job and to raise a Family.
Starting with the late 1960’s, the Marxist/Liberal Revolution of drug use and ignoring law and order and demoralizing our Security Forces (which was driven by Marxist and the Marrxist Playbook), started to destroy Democracy and the American way of life.
Liberals then embraced and exploited Illegal Aliens by paying them a substandard wage, allowing them to live in substandard housing. They taught the children of illegal to vote a certain way. Liberals always entice Minority Aliens by holding “the Carrot” of Amnesty in front of them to achieve whatever goal the Liberals needed to achieve.
In the 1970’s Liberal California School Administrators then saw the drop in elementary test scores.
The reason? A large percentage of new students, (children of illegals) didn’t speak English.
The Liberal Solution? Have schools stop teaching and challenging the high performing Students and teach to the lowest performing Students. Create ESL Programs and teach lessons in Spanish instead of forcing non-english speaking Students to learn English and force them to assimilate into the American culture.
The Result? A large percentage of High School Students graduated from California schools are functioning illiterate and were purposely set up to fail in life by the system. These Students have Anti-American ideologies, Anti-Law and Order mentalities and have a goal to turn California into a lawless = Mexico-North.
Today we also have a secondary migration problem in Arizona. These “Moderate” voters in California, hate the living conditions and culture in California, caused by Politicians voted in Office by these Moderates), are leaving California for Arizona.
The Problem? These same Moderates, who left California due to Liberal policies, Illegal Aliens, out of control violence and crime and the Liberal lifestyle are now in Arizona trying to change Arizona from a Conservative State into something that will mirror a State which is an all around disaster,(no pun intended).
God help Arizona
PS. Can Mr. Buz run for AZ. Governor? He’d also be a better Political Leader, (than an Ex-Baseball Player running for office). 😛
