While reading the new book Reckless: Sex, Lies and JFK” by local Prescott author Mike Rothmiller and coauthor Douglas Thompson, at the start of one of the chapters, I came across the above quote from George Orwell’s novel, 1984. Reckless is an excellent book that drops a reality nuclear bomb on the Kennedy/Camelot myth. If you think that a biased press that covers up the political corruption of their favored politicians is only a recent phenomenon, this book will open your eyes.
“The Party” in the quote could certainly be interchanged with the Democrat Party of today. They not only covered up and lied about Joe Biden’s health and cognitive visual acuity, they rarely mentioned his outright lies, his plagiarism, or any of his family scandals. Before they dumped him as their 2024 incumbent Presidential candidate, it’s hard to forget how Democrat politicians, staffers and their bootlicking media shills tried to tell us how energetic Joe was. How Joe ran circles around everyone at the White House. It was as if we weren’t supposed to believe what we saw with all of his stumbling, wandering aimlessly, shaking hands with nobody or hearing his numerous incoherent mumblings.
Now that Kamala Harris is the presumed Democrat presidential candidate, “The Party” and their servile press puppets are trying to get the voters to forget everything about Kamala’s past. They don’t want you to remember that she was for defunding the police. They want you to think that she was a law and order “prosecutor”. The Democrat party wants you to reject what you saw and heard during the “mostly peaceful protests” in 2020. They want you to forget that Kamala Harris tweeted to everyone to donate money to a group that was bailing out those protesters who were arrested so they could go back in the streets to commit more crimes.
“The Party” in the book 1984, today is analogous to the Democrat party that controls the corporate, legacy, mainstream media. They want you to reject the evidence that your eyes and ears provided you. The only reason Kamala Harris has risen in the political world is because she was promoted by her powerful boyfriend, Willie Brown. How many more qualified applicants, for a variety of jobs, were passed over because of Willie Brown boosting Kamala Harris? Many of those applicants were surely women. Wouldn’t that be a cause of action in a sexual harassment complaint?
They want you to reject what you know through the information provided by your senses. Kamala Harris was put in charge of the border problem. Numerous left wing politicians and their apologist media allies called her the “Border Czar” after Biden put her in charge of the border crisis. Now they are falling all over themselves saying that Kamala wasn’t really the border czar. The Party is telling you this and you have to believe them, not what you’ve seen or heard with your own eyes and ears.
The latest rumor is that Kamala will flip flop on all of the issues she ran on in the 2020 election, (reimagining police and law enforcement, building the wall, eliminating ICE, just to name a few) because they are so unpopular with the voters. It won’t work. There is too much video of her adamant espousal of these moronic ideas.
Everyone in The Party and their lapdog media just received a new memo. They have now gone on the record calling Trump and VP nominee Vance, “weirdos”. This will not last long. All the Republicans have to do is to show videos of Kamala dancing with and fist bumping with clownishly made up and attired transsexuals or promoting her anti-police statements and open border policies and the voters will know for sure who the real weirdos are.
The sad truth is that if Kamala and The Party are able to pull the wool over enough of the low information voters, then we are most certainly looking at living a very real “1984” for the rest of our lives.
