The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a two-vehicle rollover accident on Williamson Valley Road and Merrill Drive Wednesday afternoon at approximately 3:30 PM. Initial reports state that one vehicle was on its side, with the other in an embankment. At the time of the 911 call, one person was reported to be trapped under a vehicle, and a life-flight helicopter was dispatched. Despite efforts by EMS, the trapped individual died at the scene.
The other occupants in both vehicles were taken to Yavapai Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. The identity of the deceased will not be released until family can be notified.
