Central Arizona Fire and Medical Authority (CAFMA) crews quickly extinguished a fire in a vacant residence with a garage in the White Horse Ranch area of Dewey. The building was about 50% involved when firefighters arrived, but fast work kept the rest of the structure and garage largely intact.
Good defensible space and quick action by firefighters also prevented the fire from spreading into nearby brush.
