What Happens Now? – Buz Blog

There is a tendency after an election to believe that things will turn out glorious for the winning side and horrendous for the losing side. That is rarely the case. Especially in our republic, that has power divided between the three branches of government. There is no doubt that MAGA Republicans took a major hit. With the Democrats taking over both houses of Congress and key state governor offices, Republicans think that they are facing a nightmare of legislation that will emasculate all of the gains made in the last two years. That won’t happen.

Trump is still the President. He has already made it clear that he will use his veto power to block any of the outrageous legislation that passes through both houses of Congress. The things we conservatives fear the most from radical left wing Democrats will not be enacted into law, at least until they control all three branches of government. Just like the 1992 election, the Democrats won on economic issues. The high cost of fuel hit the voters in the wallet and the Dems won on that issue. On every other issue they are on the opposite side of what the majority of Americans believe, but inflated prices drove their vote.

Their hatred of Trump may cause the Democrats to focus all of their attention on going after him and MAGA supporters. If they do that for the next two years, they will lose any advantage they now have in the 2028 elections. It is doubtful they will be willing to work with Trump on anything that would promote the welfare of our people. The agenda that they pushed during the Biden years, greatly damaged our country in economic ways, on cultural issues and our status among other countries. If they return to their woke agenda, it will fail while Trump is in office and they will have nothing to show the voters in two years.

If the Democrats want to reopen the borders, they will antagonize a majority of the people. If they continue to oppose the requirement that voters show IDs in blue sanctuary states, those states will continue to attract illegal alien criminals. Their crime rates will go up. Their welfare cost will explode. Their taxes will rise and those states will eventually run out of money. Exodus from those states will continue and possibly increase.

If the Democrats want to push curbing home schooling, emasculate school choice or charter schools, they won’t be able to accomplish that federally. In the blue states, they will continue to just throw money at the education bureaucracy and test scores will remain stagnant or continue to drop. While Republicans will not be able to pass any more legislation to protect women from men entering their sports, locker rooms or restrooms, any legislation the Democrats pass in that area nationally, will be vetoed.

Parental rights will be protected nationally as long as a Republican holds the executive office which controls federal law enforcement. Transsexual surgeries on children is such an illogical and abusive procedure, it is doubtful that even the radical Democrats will try to resurrect that issue.

The point is that although the pendulum has swung in the direction of the Democrats this election season, it can just as swiftly swing back. When the war in Iran is won and fuel prices and every other cost goes down, expect that returning pendulum.
