On April 16, 2025, at the regular Yavapai County Board of Supervisors meeting, the board voted to appoint Dee Jenkins as the new Yavapai County Board of Supervisor for District 2. The vote was unanimous. Mrs. Jenkins was appointed to replace Yavapai County Board of Supervisor James Gregory who resigned on February 19, 2025.
Yavapai County Board of Supervisors Chair Mary Mallory said, “On behalf of the entire Yavapai County Board of Supervisors, I extend a warm and enthusiastic welcome to our newest member, Dee Jenkins. We are incredibly pleased to have Dee join our ranks. Her work as the Camp Verde Mayor and deep understanding of community needs, as well as her fresh perspective will be a valuable asset to our board and to the residents of Yavapai County. We look forward to working collaboratively with Dee to continue serving our community effectively.”
This appointment also marks an historic moment in Yavapai County history, with a majority female board.
