The Arizona Department of Transportation advises Prescott Valley area drivers to plan for the start of a pavement project on State Route 89A Spur that is scheduled to begin Sunday, April 6. The project will remove and replace the roadway pavement, make spot pavement repairs and apply a two-pass, micro-surfacing pavement overlay treatment.
The $9.2 million project is located along SR 89A (Fain Road) between SR 89A and SR 69 in Prescott Valley.
Work is scheduled during the daytime hours of 9am to 4pm, Mondays through Fridays and overnight work 7pm to 6am, Sundays through Thursdays.
Drivers should be prepared to slow down and use caution around construction personnel and equipment, when approaching and passing through the work zone. One lane will remain open in each direction during construction, with minimal delays to drivers.
