“Social justice is a cancer. Social justice means you are ruled by whatever the mob does. What social justice does is destroy individual responsibility.” – Rafael Cruz
Judi and I have been driving to Long Beach, California on weekends to see our grandsons play football at both the varsity High School level for our oldest, and Pop Warner level for our youngest. (Please excuse this grandpa’s bragging in stating that they are both very talented at the positions.) While driving there and returning, we listen to satellite radio.
While listening to news programs, it is easy to determine where the broadcast or newscaster is on the political spectrum. If the words “social justice” or “social equality or equity” are mentioned in a positive way, you can be assured that these words come from a leftist, socialist, communist, and/or globalist source. Leftists always use terms that sound like they are advancing common sense, positive values when the exact opposite is true.
A search on social media will find quotes from such far left luminaries as Fidel Castro, Jesse Jackson, Stacy Abrams, and Julian Bond. Other proponents of social justice are the former Secretary-General of the United Nations, Ban Ki-moon, Guy Ryder, who was Director General of the United Nations International Labour Organization, and left leaning author, Geraldine Brooks.
Social Justice has nothing to do with real, actual and truthful justice. It might mean different things to different people, but to those on the far end of the progressive chart, it does not mean equal opportunity. To them it means an equal outcome regardless of work ethic, sweat equity, talent, intelligence or ability.
The results of implementing social justice is that men and women who work, study, invest and play by the rules, have some of their hard earned money stolen by the government in taxes. Then, the government gives that money to groups of people the government feels have been “marginalized” by whatever past “injustice” the bleeding heart bureaucrats deems to have occurred. It doesn’t matter to the government apparatchiks if the individual members of these so-called marginalized groups have never suffered by being a part of that group. It doesn’t matter if that person has done nothing to better themselves. It doesn’t matter if the person has never worked a day in his or her life, they are entitled just because of their race, sex, sexual preference, ancestry, immigration status or any other reason the left leaning government deems as oppressed.
The differences between real justice and social justice are stark. One can take any issue, compare the two, and see the great divide between them.
Take the issue of reparations for slavery. Advocates of real justice are opposed to such a waste of the taxpayer’s money, using the simple logic that there is no one alive today who was a slave in our country after the Civil War. In addition, no one who owned slaves in that time period is among the living now. The proponents of social justice want us to use our tax dollars to make up for the odious practice of slavery by giving monetary compensation to persons that never suffered from slavery.
Affirmative action is another issue for comparison. Actual justice would determine that jobs, promotions, schools, colleges and universities entrees be based on a set of criteria that is the same for all applicants. Social justice dictates that the job force, and student bodies “reflect” the population at large, (by race, sex, sexual preference, etc.), regardless of the ability of the individual applicants.
If we carried out what the social justice boosters want, to its logical conclusion, our country would rapidly come to a halt. Our society would become a farce. We would have tall, obese jockeys, short White and Asian professional basketball players, and a US Vice Presidents whose only qualifications are her race and gender.

Yes, yes and yes. Buz has pointed out and described the equivalent of propaganda from a foreign power to discourage or make us turn against our government or other ethnic groups. Our foreign power in this case is the formerly good-great Democrat Party of J F Kennedy.
Forgotten by many is the legacy of the Reverend Martin Luther King Jr. who in his “I have a dream” speech at the Washington Mall. His statement of I hope my little children can be judged by the content of their character and not the color of their skin. I was forever branded by that statement. His efforts for equal rights were ignored but used by forces within the Democrat Party to refocus the historic comments of King for the purpose to create unrest and division in America. Affirmative action became a policy to right wrongs that further damaged the constitutional protections for everyone. Many federal policies have furthered divisions of people and corrupted the lawful promises of our constitution as written in 1787. Pray for the needed recovery of our great republic.
