Victory Wealth Services is inviting the Prescott community to participate in its annual sock drive benefiting local organizations that serve individuals and families experiencing homelessness.
Beginning September 1, Victory Wealth Services will collect new socks for men, women and children at its Prescott office. The drive will continue through October 30.
Socks are among the most frequently needed items at homeless shelters, and the annual drive is timed to help provide local organizations with additional supplies as colder weather approaches.
Last year, the community donated more than 3,000 pairs of socks through the drive. This year, Victory Wealth Services hopes to surpass that total with the support of clients, local residents and community partners.
“We were incredibly grateful for the response from our community last year,” said James Hait, Founder & CEO of Victory Wealth Services. “Seeing more than 3,000 pairs donated showed us what can happen when our community comes together. We’re excited to bring the drive back and hopefully provide even more support this year.”
All donated socks must be new with tags attached and may be for men, women or children. Donations can be dropped off at the Victory Wealth Services office Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with the office closed during the noon lunch hour.
Each pair of socks donated will also provide one entry into a drawing for a Traeger Pro Series 780 Pellet Grill, valued at approximately $1,000. The drawing is scheduled to take place live on Facebook on November 6 at 2:30 p.m.
Donations collected through the drive will benefit Coalition for Compassion and Justice and Prescott Area Shelter Services, two local organizations providing resources and support to people in need throughout the Prescott area.
