Suspect Arrested after Attempted Armed Robbery – Prescott Police Department

On June 16, 2023, at approximately 9:13 p.m. Prescott Police Officers responded to the Circle K, located at 1245 East Gurley Street, upon the report of an armed robbery that had just occurred.

Officers, who were in the area, arrived on scene quickly and learned that a male suspect, wearing a mask and carrying a black bag with his hand concealed inside, had come into the store, and pointed what he said was a firearm at the clerk demanding money from the cash register. The clerk refused to cooperate with the suspect. The suspect advised the clerk that he had a handgun concealed in the bag and would shoot the clerk if he refused. The clerk still refused to give the money to the suspect, who decided to flee the scene on foot.

Officers were able to locate a person matching the description of the suspect on foot in the 200 block of North Rush Street. The suspect, upon contact with the officer, fled on foot. The officer pursued the suspect on foot and was able to take the suspect into custody after a short foot chase. The suspect was wearing the described clothing and was also found in possession of a grey pillowcase with eye holes cut out.

The suspect was identified as Alvaro Noe, a 19-year-old transient resident. Noe was positively identified by the victim and was subsequently booked into the Yavapai County Jail on charges of armed robbery with a simulated firearm as well as resisting arrest.
