“We are right and they are wrong. Our ideas make sense and theirs don’t…It’s not about right or left. It’s about common sense versus lunacy.” – Kari Lake
The midterm elections will be held on November 3rd this year. Nationally, this election will determine which party will control the House of Representatives and the Senate. The pollsters, most of whom are and favor Democrats, have claimed that Arizona is a purple state and can quite possibly turn Democrat blue. Many of us don’t think that is possible. Republicans in our state currently hold six Congressional Seats to the Democrats three. If Republicans can get Kari Lake’s message across to the voters, they should, at least, hang on to this majority.
The national issues between the two political parties really do amount to a comparison between reality and fantasy, or common sense and craziness. Republicans want to keep the border closed and deport all illegal aliens. Republicans want to bring back manufacturing to our nation. They want to win the war in Iran. Following President Trump’s lead, Republicans want to promote Super Intelligence, SI, (the President’s change of wording from Artificial Intelligence), while creating a voluntary group to monitor SI for progress and safety. Republicans want to end fraud that is stealing taxpayer money across the US. In the area of foreign policy, the Republicans want to continue to create greater bonds between the Arab and Muslim countries and Israel by expanding the Abraham Accords while continuing military support of Israel.
Fiscally, Republicans want to lower taxes by broadening the tax base with new businesses. They plan to do this by making it easier to start and keep businesses with less regulations that are often redundant and enforced by shadow government bureaucrats. Democrats are basically running against Trump and everything he has put into place.
– They want to reopen the borders.
– They want to stop most, if not all deportations, and end ICE and the immigration laws they enforce.
-The Dems want to get rid of many parental rights, most importantly a parent’s right to know if their child is expressing a wish to transition to the opposite of his or her gender at birth.
– Democrats want to end military support for Israel.
– They want to allow non-citizens and illegal aliens to vote.
– They reject voter ID that the vast majority of bipartisan Americans want by an 80 percent margin.
– Several Democrat leaders, including Senator Chuck Schumer, Rep. Nancy Pelosi and former VP Kamala Harris, House Democrat Leader Hakeem Jeffries and political consultant James Carville have said they want to end the filibuster in the Senate. They want to do this so that they can add members to the Supreme Court. According to Carville, this would ensure they get positive court decisions for their agenda. Ending the filibuster would also enable them to add Washington DC and Puerto Rico to the country as states. This will ensure a majority in the Senate and likely in the House.
If they win and enact these changes, this will basically have a similar effect as to what the radical Democratic Socialists in their party propose.
The far left, Democrat Socialist wing of their party, has stated openly that they want to eliminate the Senate, the presidency, and the Supreme Court. The President and Supreme Court would be replaced by leaders directly appointed by Congress. These changes would eviscerate our Constitution. While many of the more traditional Democrats may passively disagree with these ideas, they rarely, openly object to them. That is because they fear that all of the enthusiasm in their party is with these radicals Democrats who cannot win without their support. Many in that subset of the Democrat party have stated that the ultimate goal of the Democratic Socialists is communism. Apparently, the fact that communism has never worked anywhere it was tried, at anytime, makes no impression on them. The logic of realizing that communism can’t work because it violates basic human nature, escapes them.
Perhaps the fact that communism has always ended up in tyranny and a loss of freedom for all of the people, except the communist oligarchs who run their governments, makes no impression on them or their ideology. The ultimate lesson for voters is that they should not vote for any Democrat who doesn’t loudly and often reject their party’s radical, anti-Constitutional ideas that lead to the path of authoritarianism and the loss of freedom, just like Cuba, Venezuela, Eastern Europe and China.
