The Prescott Badgers came out and took care of business on opening night with a 34-0 win over the Greenway Demons at Prescott High School.
The Badgers led 6-0 after one quarter and 13-0 at the half. Prescott blew the game open in the second half with two more touchdowns to lead 27-0 after three quarters. Another TD opened up the fourth quarter and with less than ten minutes to play, the game was called after the Greenway coaches spoke to the officials due to many injuries occurring to the Greenway players in the second half.

Brody Hanna rushed for 81 yards and four touchdowns. Braylon Johnson ran for 74 yards and Bryce Coston had 43 yards and a touchdown.
The Prescott quarterbacks were 8-11-0 95 yards with James Hefferin going 6-8-0, 70 yards. Bryce Coston was 2-3-0 25 yards. Nick Phillips and Colten Sunshine each had three receptions.

Prescott (1-0) will travel to Phoenix on what promises to be a very warm evening when they face the Thunderbird Titans on Friday at 7pm. The Titans opened up with a 47-0 win over Moon Valley.
Bradshaw Mountain Bears pulled off an opening night upset with a convincing 24-7 win at #2 Arcadia. An upset only in the fact that the preseason polls had Arcadia sitting one spot behind #1 Snowflake in Division 4A. Last year the Bears fell 37-8 at home.
The Bears put together a great game and were led by Jon’te Jones, who rushed for 100 yards and a touchdown.
Arcadia quarterback Eric Delord completed 12 of 20 passes for 221 yards but was unable to get a pass play into the end zone. Joe Hala scored the only Titans touchdown and was held to just 14 yards on 7 carries. Konnor Kammes led Arcadia in receiving with 6 catches for 78 yards.
The key to the win was that the Bradshaw Mountain defense held Arcadia to just 31 yards on 16 carries forcing the Titans to throw the ball. The bend and not break defense did a great job of keeping the home team out of the end zone.
The Bears (1-0) will host Independence, who fell to Northwest Christian 51-0, on Friday at 7pm.
