The riots in Minneapolis, the encouragement of the insurrectionists by the left wing Democrats and the legacy media, are aimed at several outcomes they hope to obtain. They want to keep all of the illegal immigrants, criminals and otherwise, in our country. It’s difficult to achieve a “new world order” if the greatest country in the world keeps its own borders, culture and republican form of government. By causing chaos, they hope to create the impression that the government can’t keep us safe. This is bedlam they generate so that their useful idiots will believe they are truly fighting Nazis and “saving our democracy” from the existential threat of ICE. Only a moron or an indoctrinated leftist would believe such idiocy.

Another result they hope to attain is to lower the morale of federal law enforcement, primarily those officers in ICE and the Border Patrol. That will never happen under a Trump Administration. The reason it won’t happen is that the left and Democrats do not understand basic human nature. In any job, but particularly in law enforcement, morale is generated within an organization. Again, in law enforcement, officers expect a certain amount of antipathy. When you arrest people, write them traffic tickets and your mere presence stifles some behavior, you realize that a certain percentage of the population will resent you and your profession. Any honest, effective, and efficient policing organization will have the backing of the majority of the population. That support is part of keeping a positive esprit de corps.

It is inside any organization, especially law enforcement agencies, where morale will reach its greatest height or take its deepest dive. Morale, like transparency, integrity and truth, starts at the top. When a respected Chief explains why an unpopular policy is necessary, the troops may grumble and even disagree, but they will follow their leader. If the men and women in a department know that their leaders at the top will back them up when they are doing their job correctly, even if a hostile press is calling for their heads, they will follow those leaders anywhere. Those types of leaders have a levitating effect on morale.

On the other hand, if officers go to work everyday wondering what they might do that day, just trying to do their job in a professional manner, that could get them fired, their morale will dip to the pavement. If they believe that the Chief, his administration, the mayor, the police commission or city council will throw them to the wolves, if there is bad press for their actions, however righteous, their morale will sink if it hasn’t already tanked. Not only that, but their reluctance to get involved in possible violations of the law will increase. Proactive police work will diminish greatly, if not completely disappear. Officers will leave the department for the “greener pastures” of other organizations that have good leadership.

The Minneapolis Police Department is a prime example. In 2020, they had 900 police officers. Now, they claim to have 600. Three hundred officers either quit, retired or transferred to other departments. This is hardly surprising considering how the leadership in that department and city abandoned Derek Chauvin after felon George Floyd, basically committed suicide by overdosing with illegal drugs.

To get back to Minneapolis today, ICE, Border Patrol officers and other federal law enforcement personnel will continue doing their jobs. No matter how much verbal garbage is thrown at them in the loony left media, no matter how many rocks, bricks, hunks of concrete, frozen bottles of water, and other disgusting things are tossed at them, they will do their jobs. [It should be noted that anyone throwing rocks, bricks, hunks of concrete, or frozen bottles of water at ICE or Border Patrol officers is guilty of an assault with a deadly weapon. If any law enforcement officer shot the person throwing one of those items at another person, that shooting would be legally justified.]

ICE and Border Patrol officers will continue to enforce immigration laws, arresting illegal alien criminals because they know that this job is paramount in protecting the lives and safety of Americans. And regardless of the dangers, their morale will be high, because they know that the vast majority of the people in this country want them to do what they are paid to do. They also are sure that Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, and the whole Trump Administration supports and backs their actions.
