The Democrat Party has always had a loyal following. Since the Great Depression, the middle class has considered it the party of workers and the poor. My own parents were registered Democrats. I believe, that like a lot of Americans, they kept their Democrat Party affiliation, but mostly voted Republican and considered themselves “Reagan Democrats” after he ran for President. Still, there are a large percentage of that party, who remain Democrats and vote for their candidates, even though the current Democrat Party doesn’t remotely look like the same party it was last century.
These lifelong, generational Democrats need to ask themselves a number of questions to see if their personal values are in line with the present-day party they support. If not, they need to do some serious self-examination and re-register as Independents or Republicans or some other party.
The first major Democrat inquiry is, if they, as individuals, think that socialism or democratic socialism is a better, more fair form of government, than one that uses capitalism as their economic system? If the Democrat thinks socialism is better, that individual needs to research which countries, in the whole world, at anytime in history, where and when socialism has worked. (That research will reveal that socialism has never worked, anywhere, at any time, in the history of the world. That is because it violates basic human nature). This research probably won’t change any minds of Democrats who are pro socialism because to them, feelings matter much more than facts.
The next question they need to ask themselves is whether they believe that biological men, who identify as women, have a right to compete in women’s sports. Along the same line, Democrats need to determine if they think that it is sane or rational or biologically possible for someone to change his or her biological sex? Are there more than two sexes?
Is transitioning children from their birth gender to the opposite one, (with or without their parents consent), good for the children or for society? Is it more compassionate to cater to the whims of confused children or to confront the psychosis from which they suffer?
Is the use of multiple pronouns by individuals to describe themselves logical, or does it cause confusion and chaos in communicating and does it prostitute our language?
What is more important in hiring, promoting or enrolling students; merit, intellect and test scores or ethnicity, national origin, gender and skin color? Is unlimited immigration and unvetted immigrants good or bad for our country? Is it good for the health of our people?
Is the antisemitism that is rampant on our college campuses, that is expressed by elected Democrats and some of their candidates, good or bad for the party? Does it unite the party or cause division?
Has defunding the police, decriminalizing some crimes, lessening the sentence for other crimes and cashless bail lowered the threat of crime?
If lifelong Democrats honestly answer those questions, a great many of them will leave the Democrat party and the country will be much better for it. The way it stands now, their party is beyond repair.

Buz, I am beyond frustrated and disgusted with all of these protesters who are against ICE, the very people who are putting their lives on the line to protect them and all Americans. Our nation has never been in such a serious state and I believe it all started with Obama, he started the ball rolling. Trump was then elected and tried to stop the hate, the division between Republicans and Democrats but unfortunately Biden was elected which opened up a giant can of worms and now the ball is a big snowball gathering speed and getting bigger and bigger. These protesters aren’t real Americans, they are left-wingers who don’t have the brains to see the destruction the news and social media is having on what is happening. Let one of these protesters be raped, stolen from, murdered, one of their kids die from a drug overdose and maybe then they would wake up and see that ICE is out to remove the bad immigrants from our society. I am just at wits ends with what is happening. The only thing left is to pray, pray and pray hard. Thanks for letting me vent.
I have studied Communism for about 65 years. I have read the Communist Manifesto by Karl Marx {1848) which calls for utopia for everyone with Communism. ” Everyone contributes according to their ability and receives according to their needs”. Sounds good but is against human nature. Our Mayflower Compact of the pilgrims failed on this basis. Look to Cuba, Communist China for the true outcomes of Communism. Its the power of Communism combined with One Worlders and militant Islam that, over time, has corrupted the minds of millions of American students from Communist trained faculty. This must be stopped and reversed in all educational institutions or it will consume our constitutional republic.
Bus, what is really frightening is to turn on the news to see streets burning, buildings burning, rioting, total unrest. When I see these images on television I think at first that I am watching something that is happening in Beirut, Iran, Venezuela, Ukraine, Afghanistan, but no, it is happening here in the United States of America. When you think of these places you think of third world countries, are we now becoming one of them? We can thank the Democrats for all of this unrest!
A very good writing Buz. I just have one more thing to add to the Democrats that are protesting and rioting. If you don’t like America, you don’t like the laws, if you don’t believe in the Constitution and Bill of Rights, then get the HELL out of here because there are a lot of other countries that believe the way you do.
