Salvation Army Continues Annual Tradition at Pine Ridge Marketplace

The Salvation Army’s annual Christmas tradition to ensure every child in the Prescott community receives a gift this holiday season is currently taking place at the Pine Ridge Marketplace.

From now till Thursday, December 15, visitors to the Pine Ridge Marketplace in Prescott have the opportunity to give gifts new to children served through the efforts by the Salvation Army.

While visiting the Marketplace, stop by Angel Tree where you will find tags that represent a child with their details and needs. The tree is on display Wednesday through Saturday from noon till 6:30pm.

“Having the Angel Tree here at Pine Ridge Marketplace means a lot to us,” said Creative Director Anji Rude. “This community shows up for one another, and the Angel Tree is a simple but powerful way for our shoppers to directly impact local children who need a little extra support this holiday season. Every tag represents a real child with real needs: coats, shoes, warm clothes, or a special gift they’ve been hoping for. Watching families pick a tag, shop thoughtfully, and bring those gifts back reminds us what the season is truly about. We’re grateful to help connect our community to the children who will feel that kindness the most.”

Also underway is the Salvation Army’s annual Christmas tradition, known as the Red Kettle campaign, which helps raise funds that support the organizations year round work. You will see these kind people in areas throughout our community. It is a very worthy cause that has made a difference to help those needy in our country since it began in 1891.
