Prescott’s Premier Choral Ensemble Welcomes New Voices for Its 10th Season
Thanks to enthusiastic outreach and audition promotion, 19 new singers have joined the ensemble this year – 5 sopranos, 5 altos, 4 tenors, and 5 bass/baritones. Together with 37 returning members, the Chorale now numbers 56 voices strong.
“What a perfect moment to welcome new singers,” says Artistic Director Dennis Houser. “This season opens with one of the most magnificent and demanding choral works ever written: Mozart’s Mass in C Minor.”
Often ranked alongside Bach’s Mass in B Minor and Beethoven’s Missa Solemnis, Mozart’s Mass in C Minor has never before been performed in the Quad-City area. Houser is thrilled to bring this extraordinary masterpiece to Prescott audiences at the season-opening concert on September 27.
Don’t miss the chance to experience this historic performance of Mozart’s Mass in C Minor with full orchestra, acclaimed soloists, and the powerful, unified sound of the Prescott Chorale.
This unforgettable opening concert is just the beginning. Prescott Chorale’s 10th anniversary season is filled with masterworks, inspiring programs, and memorable performances that showcase the depth and artistry of the ensemble.
