The Prescott Chorale – The Genius of Puccini!

The Prescott Chorale invites you to the masterful Messa di Gloria by the one and only Giacomo Puccini! A radiant choral work by the virtuoso who created such stunning works as La Bohème, Tosca, and Madame Butterfly. This once-in-a-lifetime event, will be presented at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, Friday, April 19th at 7 p.m. and Saturday, April 20th at 2 p.m.

Puccini wrote his Messa di Gloria as a graduation exercise when he was just eighteen years old. The work premiered in 1880, but then was sadly lost to the world. It was rediscovered in 1952, and has now reclaimed its place in history. The Prescott Chorale is proud to perform this incredible work in Prescott for the very first time.

As a special treat, the Chorale will also present four very well-known opera choruses, including Soavi Zeffiri, by Joseph Haydn and Nessum Dorma, also by Puccini.

St. Luke’s Episcopal Church is located at, 2000 Shepherds Lane in Prescott, just off of Hwy 89 and Ruger Rd. Tickets can be purchased online at www.prescottchorale.com, or at the door. Admission is $30 for adults; and $6 for students (ages 13-16). Children twelve and under are free.
