Where Violence And Chaos Thrive – Buz Blog

Violence is most likely to occur where the authority structure is insufficient, where the authority structure is undermined by inefficiency, corruption, or a lack of public support, and where the authority structure itself feels threatened.” – Historian Gary L. Roberts

The above quote was found in the book, Doc Holiday, The Life and Legend by Gary L. Roberts. The author was writing about Wyatt Earp and his posse’s “vendetta ride” after his brother Virgil was wounded in an ambush and his brother Morgan was murdered in Tombstone, Arizona. This excerpt struck me as a universal truth. (To me, a universal truth is one that can be applied to different locations and different times, but would end in the same results.) Tombstone, in the early 1880s was a place where the authority structure was insufficient. There was inefficiency in that crimes were rarely solved, when arrests were made, there were almost never convictions, and there was corruption. A political war between the Cochise County Sheriff and the Tombstone city law enforcement, split the public support, so violence and chaos resulted.

When we look at where violence and chaos is occurring today, it is the result of the same flaws in the authority structure that were happening in Tombstone in the 1880s. Whether the violence occurs after the George Floyd death in Minnesota or during the pro Palestinian/antisemitic riots on college campuses or the anti ICE riots in LA and New York, the upheaval occurs in cities or campuses where law enforcement was insufficient to meet the threat. The police, whether campus or city or county, were ineffective because the campus or city officials held them back and let the violence magnify. Those officials were cowardly and corrupt. In conjunction with a corrupt, biased media, any public support law enforcement had, was eroded.

What do the locations, where these riots happen, where physical aggression and property destruction run rampant, have in common? These uncontrolled civil disorders happen in cities, states and campuses that are controlled by Democrats or those to the left of even Democrats.

Every “sanctuary” city and state ignores federal immigration laws. These jurisdictions show their lack of support of law enforcement by ordering their policing agencies not to cooperate with ICE agents. It is so much safer if ICE agents are able to pick up violent illegal immigrant suspects when the local agencies hold them in their jails. When these immigrant criminals are released before ICE can pick them up, the public is put in danger and ICE agents’ lives and safety are jeopardized. Attacks on ICE agents are up almost 700%.

On the flip side, the Prescott area is enjoying our Frontier Days. We have the World’s Oldest Rodeo. There is our annual Frontiers Day Independence Parade. We celebrate the founding of the greatest nation the world has ever seen. In our quad city area, the authority structure is sane, stable and secure. Here you won’t see Palestinian or Mexican flags waving in the hands of people who hate our country and you won’t see our American flag being burned. In Yavapai County we fly, wave and honor our flag for what it symbolizes and for those who sacrificed so much to keep it flying.

  1. Don’t speak too soon Mr. Buz.

A Freshman Congresswoman Yassamin ANSARI, from Phoenix Dist. 3, is Iranian-American who, in April 2025, violated federal law.

ANARI joined a group of Democratic House colleagues in traveling to El Salvador, in her Official Capacity as a Congresswoman and, in an attempt to provide Constituent Services to a known Terrorist and Illegal Alien named Kilmar Abrego Garcia.

Btw, Providing Material Support to a Known Terrorist is a Federal Felony. Lets hope the U.S. Attorney General holds her accountable for these actions.

    See 18 U.S.C. § 2339A and § 2339B.

  2. The real problem is this: Right-of-center people like me simply want to live our lives, run a business or do our jobs, and be left alone. Generally we are competent and law-abiding. Leftists are where they are and who they are because they are inherently inferior in one or more of their capabilities, a condition that generally places them in an economic and societal niche that is usually less desirable than that of actual achiever/contributors.
Envy is a powerful force, and has driven billions of people to the left.
It’s really easy to stoke the fires of envy by pointing to those who have done more with themselves and have more to show for it, and then loudly claiming that the reason for this is because of some sort of “unfairness” that can be rectified by confiscating wealth or property from those who have earned it. We call these promoters of envy and divisiveness “Democrat Politicians” in order to distinguish them from valuable members of society.
We on the Right are typically not interested in the sort of power that being in an elected office confers. Unfortunately, if we continue to ignore the cancer that has metastasized into the left-wing of the American electorate, they will overcome our body politic because they never quit, and we are done for as a nation.
Remember what V. I. Ulyanov said: “You may not be interested in the Revolution, but the Revolution is interested in you!”

  3. There is too much pessimism going around. Trump has brought in a new age of patriotism. You can see it in the recruitment numbers in our military and in the crowds that honored our Army’s birthday and the increase in the increased crowds in our Independence Day parades and celebrations.
