What draws people to the library? Everything! From books and digital resources to job assistance and creative programming, libraries are essential to thriving communities. National Library Week, April 6–12, 2025, is a time to celebrate the many ways libraries bring people together, spark imagination, and support lifelong learning.
At Prescott Public Library, we invite the community to join the celebration! Whether you’re a long-time patron or haven’t visited in a while, now is the perfect time to explore all the library has to offer: a place to connect with others, learn new skills, and pursue your passions through book clubs, story times, concerts, lectures, and more. Prescott Public Library offers a wide array of resources, including seeds for gardening, book club kits, backpacks for hiking, and more!
Whatever draws you in, the library has something for everyone. Whether you’re preparing for a career change, launching a business, raising a family, or embracing retirement, Prescott Public Library is here to support your journey. Libraries serve as hubs for learning, creativity, and connection, helping people of all ages explore new ideas and opportunities.

Other than being a weird shape and being too costly (25 Million vs 5-6 Million) the Prescott Valley’s 58,000 sq. ft of space in serving a population of 52,000 very well. In these fiscal crunch times for many the library is filled with quality entertainment and at no cost to the residents. You can even look online at home and order books, DVDs ,CDs and other media and other items the library will locate and let you know when they are available for pickup. A friendly knowledgeable staff is always available to you. You can do all of this with a free library card available at the entrance desk.
