“I am not what you think I am. You are what you think I am.” ― Unknown
“A hurtful act is the transference to others of the degradation which we bear in ourselves” – Simone Weil
It may have first been heard on the Tucker Carlson show when he was still on Fox News. Other commentators and writers have referred to it. Some call it transference, other mention it as projection. While originally both these words were psychological terms by Freud and Jung, they have evolved into political terms. In the politics of today, they indicate that one candidate or political party is blaming or accusing the other candidate or party of doing exactly what they, themselves, are doing.
President Biden, the Democrat party, the legacy news organizations, and much of the social media companies provide a plethora of examples of this phenomenon. During the 2020 campaign, the Democrats advertised that Joe Biden would become “the adult” in the room, if elected. How did that work out? They said Joe Biden would bring all Americans together as one nation. Can anyone remember a time when this country was more segmented by race, gender, economic status or sexual preference, than it is now? They stated that a Joe Biden administration would bring international respect back to the US.
All of the Democrat promises implied that Trump and the Republicans had acted childishly, had disunited the country into racial, gender and economic tribes, and had caused our country to lose the respect of the international community. They not only projected these negative traits on Republicans, but once elected, they put policies, laws, or executive orders into effect that would accomplish these negative effects to our nation.
The disastrous practices they accused Trump of doing, they put into place. They have had a negative effect on our economy, our international respect, the invasion of our country by illegal aliens and the balkanization of our citizens. The Democrats are projecting all the negative results of their policies onto Trump and the Republicans.
With a presidential election this year, all of the Democrats’ attempts at lying to the public about their positive “accomplishments”, seem to be falling on deaf ears. They have dropped the term “Bidenomics” from their political vocabulary because even the most uninformed voters can see that it isn’t working. Every time people go to the grocery store, gas station, retail store or buy something on line, they can see how much higher prices are than when Trump was president.
When Biden and the Democrats say that Trump and his MAGA supporters are an existential threat to our democracy, they are projecting the fact that they are threatening the existence of our form of government by their actions. By weaponizing the FBI and Justice Department to go after their political opponents, strict Catholics, antiabortion pro lifers and people speaking at school board meetings, the Biden Democrats are trying to circumvent the First Amendment rights to free speech and freedom of religion. The left progressives are constantly assaulting free speech and press with attempts to outlaw what they claim to be “hate speech”, dog whistles and microaggressions.
The Biden regime has violated the Fourth Amendment right to a speedy trial in the persecution of many of the January 6th arrestees. By the draconian sentences to those convicted of crimes on that day, they have violated the Eighth Amendment restriction on excessive bail and cruel and unusual punishment. These are just a few of the many things that Biden and the Dems are accusing Trump and his supports of. In fact, Biden can’t run on his record because at every level it is a long chain of failure. His only chance is to try and show that Donald Trump would be even worse. The one way Joe Biden can do that is to project his failures onto Trump. To do that, Biden has to employ his greatest talent and that is to keep repeating his big lies.

Thanks Buz for holding up a mirror to what the Biden-Obama regime is reflecting on Trump and MAGA Republicans. It does take a cognitive review of the past 7 years to show the decline in our quality of life for most of the country. Without a home with a low or no mortgage, the Biden economy has devastated most all families.
I certainly hope (and Pray) most Americans will be voting for a chance of the Trump 45 years returning as we elect Trump 47. Make America Great Again.
