Another large and energetic crowd filled the stands for the third time at the World’s Oldest Rodeo in Prescott. It was another night of perfect weather conditions for all those in attendance. There was not much change in the top three spots in most of the events. Barrel Racing saw a new leader in Andrea Busby.
The top three spots remained unchanged from last night’s performances in the Bareback Riding event. Cole Reiner of Buffalo, Wyoming, is still leading with an 88.5-point ride, followed by Richard Champion and Mason Clements.
In Saddle Bronc Riding, Weston R Patterson of Waverly, Kansas, had the best ride of the night, moving him into the third place overall with a score of 83.5. Stu Wright of Coalville, Utah, still sits at the top with an 86.5. In second remains Cole Elshere at 85.
The Bull Riding saw no changes from Friday night as the top three remained as is. Tristin Parker of Winnie, Texas, leads with a 90.5, followed by Tristen Hutchings and Trey Benton III.
The leader after two rounds in Tie-Down Roping is still Cory Solomon of Prairie, Texas, with a time of 18.3, with a first round best of 8.6 seconds. Macon Murphy and Hayden Ford remain second and third.

The top three in Steer Wrestling remained the same as well after two rounds, with Tyler Waguespack of Gonzales, Louisiana, with 9.4 seconds. He had a 4.7-second performance in the first go and a 4.7 in the second. Second is Tristan Martin and third is Nick Guy.
Leading Breakaway Roping is Shelby Boisjoli of Stephenville, Texas, with a 2.9 in the first go and 2.8 in the second. After two rounds she has 5.7. Justine Doka, down the road aways from Fountain Hills, Arizona, is second at 7.7, and Kodi Armitage of Lamesa, Texas is third with a 7.8
Andrea Busby of Brock, Texas, took over the top spot in Barrel Racing after two rounds with combined time of 35.02. The best time so far was in the first go from Brittany Pozzi Tonozzi of Lampasas, Texas, with 17.33. She is just behind the leader with a 35.03. Tied for third are Bailee Switzer and Bryanna Lehrmann, both with a time of 35.54.Locally, Chino Valley resident Wendy Wilson turned in a 17.80 ride Friday, her first go; she’s tied there for seventh.
In Team Roping, after two rounds, the leaders are Kaleb Driggers of Hoboken, Georgia, and Junior Nogueira of Presidente Prude, Brazil, with 13.3 seconds. Following the top spot is Dustin Egusquiza of Marianna, Florida and Levi Lord of Sturgis, South Dakota with a 13.9. Sitting in the third position are Keven W Daniel Franklin, Tennessee and Travis Graves Jay, Oklahoma with a 14.9.

The Rodeo continues Sunday at 7:30 pm, and Monday at 7:30 pm, with the finale on the Fourth of July at 1:30 pm. Be sure to come out 90 minutes early to catch the rodeo stars of the future in the Mutton Bustin’ event. The rodeo dance ends its three night run on Saturday from 8 pm-1 am, featuring the Justin Hitson & Southbound Band
