First Candidate Forum of 2022 – David Stringer

The 2022 election year is upon us.  The Verde Valley Republicans will host the first candidate forum of the year this Saturday, 10:00 am, at the VFW in Cottonwood, 702 E Aspen Street.  The event is open to the public, but seating is limited, and reservations can be requested by emailing verdevalleyrepublicans@gmail.com.  The lineup includes former LD1 State Representative Noel Campbell, and two newcomers, Steve Zipperman and Anne Marie Ward.  All three announced candidates reside in the Prescott or Prescott Valley area.

This candidate forum in Cottonwood is of particular importance.  Legislative District 1 boundaries are changing for the 2022 election to encompass all of Yavapai County. Portions of the County previously part of LD6 will now be included in LD1. This means that with the addition of all of Cottonwood, Jerome, Clarkdale, the Verde Valley, and the southern portions of Sedona and Oak Creek, a larger share of LD1 voters will come from these areas.

  1. “First Candidate Forum of 2022” . . . Noel Campbell’s command of issues overwhelms contenders out the gate!
