The Yavapai County chapter of Conservatives for a Constitutional Republic (ConCR) will host former US Senate Candidate, Daniel McCarthy, at their meeting this Saturday, February 27th, at the VFW in Prescott Valley. Mr. McCarthy has won a following in conservative circles in connection with his spirited, grassroots campaign in the August 4th Republican primary against former Senator Martha McSally. McCarthy had warned party leadership of McSally’s weakness as a candidate. Despite efforts by Republican officials to deny him a platform and freeze him out of party support, he won nearly 25% of the Republican primary vote. McSally, who was appointed to the seat by Governor Ducey less than a year after losing to Krysten Sinema in 2018, went on to lose again in November 2020, to Democrat Mark Kelly.
After early success in business, Daniel McCarthy has now turned to political work. In 2010, at the age of 25 he founded US West Realty which quickly grew into a 40 office, multistate franchise. He and his wife, Lexi, have also founded a cosmetics firm which they have grown into a highly successful international business. Since 2019 he has been a Republican Precinct Committeeman and a donor to conservative candidates and causes. His name is now mentioned as a potential candidate for Arizona Governor in 2022.
Conservatives for a Constitutional Republic is a group of conservative activists dedicated to defending and promoting the values of representative government and personal freedom as set forth in the U.S. Constitution. The group is a private organization and is not affiliated with any political party. However, most members are registered Republicans or conservative leaning Independents who are civically engaged or who are current or former elected officials or candidates for office. They meet on the last Saturday of the month at the VFW in Prescott Valley.
ConCR is a membership organization. However, the appearances of guest speakers of high public interest are open to the public. Recent speakers include Congressman Paul Gosar, State GOP Chair Kelli Ward and Arizona Senate President Karen Fann.
Due to strong public interest, seating for Mr. McCarthy’s talk this Saturday is at capacity and no further reservations can be accepted.
ConCR’s March speaker is Congressman Andy Biggs. Those interested in attending are encouraged to RSVP early.
