Prescott Fine Art Launches Monthly Art Auctions at Pine Ridge Marketplace

Prescott Fine Art, a gallery and teaching studio at Pine Ridge Marketplace, is opening a new chapter this fall and expanding their current gallery by opening an additional 6,000 sq ft space at Pine Ridge Marketplace in Suite 222 with exterior-facing access. The Gallery now offers 10,000 square feet of original artwork in nearly every medium.

The new space will include a high-end gallery with original pieces primarily in oil and acrylic paintings. Many of the current and new Prescott Fine Art photographers will show their work at the new location. In addition, the gallery will begin featuring fine jewelry.

The space opens on Oct 1, and auctions will be held on the first Fridays of each month with the first auction slated for Friday, Nov 6 at 5:30 pm. Each auction welcomes 40 guests for an intimate, in-person experience with couches, cocktail seating, small plate appetizers and beverages.

A live auctioneer introduces each piece before opening the bidding round, sharing the artist’s story and the work behind it. Between auctions, featured pieces for each upcoming auction are displayed in the Gallery’s windows as a preview of what’s to come. The auctions are fast-paced and open to the public, with each piece reviewed and juried by Prescott Fine Art before being put into the auction. Admission is a small fee of $35 which includes small plates, live music & a complimentary glass of wine.

Some items at the auction will be brought forth by our esteemed Art Broker/Collector, Terry Kettenhofen, known as The Dream Merchant. Kettenhofen has a 4,000-piece art collection which includes original fine art pieces as well as famous prints, bronze statutes and much more.

“Every choice we made about this expansion started with the artists,” said Tamara Holcom, owner of Prescott Fine Art. “Each piece that comes through our doors carries someone’s heart and story, and we wanted to give those stories an even bigger stage. The auction isn’t limited to the artists who display with us. Anyone in Prescott, Yavapai County and beyond can bring us a piece, and once it’s juried, it can go up for bid.”

Submissions can be made by contacting the Gallery at 928.910.6545, and pieces for the first auction must be submitted by October 15th. Prescott Fine Art welcomes all fine art pieces in any medium, from emerging and established artists alike.

Located inside Pine Ridge Marketplace (3250 Gateway Blvd Suite 232), Prescott Fine Art’s current 4,000-square-foot gallery showcases about 30 artists and artisans from across Prescott and Yavapai County, working in mediums that include watercolor, acrylic, alcohol ink, wood and metal work and photography.

Prescott Fine Art is also a Certified Bob Ross Teaching Studio offering weekly Saturday classes open to the public, private group oil painting classes, sip-and-create sessions and coming soon, custom art framing for canvas, metal and printed work.

In addition to oil painting classes, mixed media classes are offered monthly by the best acrylic, watercolor and alcohol ink artists in town. PFA also offers recycling workshops, colored pencil artistry as well as fun paint ‘n sip wine glass painting sessions.
