Artists Open Their Doors for the 2026 Prescott Area Artist Studio Tour, Oct. 2-4

Over the weekend of October 2-4, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day, the Prescott Area Artist Studio Tour will showcase 74 artists across 52 private studios, as well as additional artists in three Art Centers, throughout the Prescott/Quad-City area. This beloved annual event offers attendees an opportunity to visit with the artists, observe their creative processes and purchase one-of-a-kind works of art in many different mediums, ranging from painting and ceramics to jewelry and glass. Attendees of this free, self-guided event may begin at any location and visit as many studios as they like.

This year’s Art Centers will include the Mountain Artists Guild, the Phippen Museum and the ’Tis Annex Art Education Building. In addition, “Beyond the Studio: The Artist Tour Preview” – an exhibit featuring artwork by participating Tour artists – will be on display from August 27 through September 22 at the ’Tis Art Center & Gallery (105 S. Cortez Street in Prescott). The exhibit enables attendees to view artwork by Tour artists in one location before the Tour and decide which studios they would like to visit. All works will be available for sale. There will also be a raffle featuring several different items, with proceeds dedicated to supporting children’s art programs in the Prescott area.

Each year, attendees of the Prescott Area Artist Studio Tour report that one of the most intriguing aspects is the opportunity to observe artists as they actively demonstrate their craft. This experience allows attendees to learn about the materials, techniques and processes used in creating a work of art, while forging a personal connection with the artists. Among many others, this year’s diverse selection of artists will include:

Lee Anets, Ceramics. Lee is a ceramic studio artist who pays attention to the natural world around her. She was raised in the Southwest, where the beauty and life of the land, with traces of those who came before her, quietly inform her work. Working in clay feels to her like participating in something both ancient and ongoing. Find Lee in Tour Studio 45, 11301 N. Sleek Way, Prescott Valley.
Jim Clark, Woodworking. Inspired by the wood grains and the smells of working with wood, Jim creates one-of-a-kind burl wood bowls and handmade rustic furniture. Native woods such as oak, walnut, pine, mesquite, elm and juniper are used in most pieces. Find Jim in Tour Studio 57, 957 E. Center St., Chino Valley.
Dorothy Dooley, Painting. Dorothy delights in translating the unique beauty of Prescott, its scenery and wildlife, into paintings. Conveying the awe and emotion she experiences as she moves through the landscape brings her joy and purpose. Find Dorothy in Tour Studio 38, 787 Summer Field, Prescott.
Joe Duffy, Metal. Joe is a retired CPA with a torch – what could go wrong? His father was John Duffy, a 1960s metal artist. Joe started welding with his dad at age seven. His passion is creating beautiful art for the spaces people call home. He specializes in tree-of-life sculptures, metal chimes and large outdoor art. Find Joe in Tour Studio 31, 13326 E. Patty Lindsey, Glass. Patty introduces art lovers to the world of fused and slumped glass. She loves showing people how these pieces are made, and aims to get visitors excited about the process and the possibilities of glass. Find Patty at Tour Studio 26, 4455 N. Juniper Dr., Chino Valley.
Nancy J. McLaughlin, Painting. Nancy has made drawings and paintings since childhood. Her artistic focus is creating an invitation to a moment of renewal and celebration of nature. She uses animated brushwork and the energy-giving power of color to recall the pure and magical perceptions that everyone experienced as children. Michael Smith, Mixed Media. Mike loves collecting and finding unique natural pieces that are art in their own right, and combining those pieces in various ways to create something beautiful. The combining and construction is almost as much fun as collecting the pieces. He also enjoys showing people how to create their own works of art. Find Mike in Tour Studio 50, 5900 W.
