Michael Jackson’s Broken Heart Stone Documentary Unveils in Prescott, Saturday, August 29, 2026

With the latest film blockbuster, “MICHAEL” exceeding over 1-billion in gross sales worldwide, the story of Michael Jackson’s Broken Heart Stone, is next in line for over 4-billion Michael Jackson fans worldwide. The film will be shown at The Center on Rosser (formerly the Adult Center) in Prescott, at 6:30pm. The film has been an answer for a 17-year quest by Andrew St. Wilson, now an Arizona resident, who had a colorful career in the entertainment industry in Hollywood, California.

The Chinese Theater in Hollywood, the mecca for celebrity handprints and autographs in cement for such superstars as Marilyn Monroe, Jane Russell, and a long list of others entertainment personalities, also include impressions of the late singing sensation and Mega-Star, Michael Jackson. The Broken Heart Stone and Wilson gained worldwide publicity on every continent in January of 2012, when Jackson, affectionately dubbed; the Greatest Entertainer that ever lived, was immortalized by a handprint, footprints and autograph ceremony at the Chinese Theater Complex in Hollywood, January 26, 2012. Jackson wasn’t there but Wilson and his wife were. They were responsible for delivering the Stone to the Jackson Estate for the Immortalization Ceremony which created a worldwide frenzy across a plethora of international news outlets.

Wilson was licensed by the Michael Jackson Estate to write the last chapter of MJ’s legacy, Broken Heart Stone – World’s Most Famous Hand Print – Michael Jackson King of Pop. In so doing, the story of the Stone became more than a quest. In bringing the Stone to the awareness of MJ fans, a discovery occurred, an exoneration of Michael by an enlightening documentary which also reveals another secret Hollywood has kept hidden since the immortalization of MJ in 2012.

An independent filmmaker, digital editor and proficient voiceover specialist, Vance Brasher, had a opportune meeting with Wilson in 2011 in Whittier, California. With backgrounds in entertainment, Brasher and Wilson bonded almost immediately on the future hopes of a documentary to tell the yet unwritten-untold story of the Stone. Both now live in Prescott, Arizona. Brasher had asked Wilson to be an independent consultant to the 7-year long documentary project. As Brasher stated, “It was truly a serendipitous moment when Wilson and I met first met in 2011. This was an opportunity to bring an amazing story to the world. After connecting with Wilson again in Arizona, it was full steam ahead.” Wilson, a former World Kung Fu Champion, knew Michael and engaged with the King of Pop at Neverland. Wilson was the feature story for the Millennial Issue of Blackbelt Magazine’s, Influential Masters of the Century. After winning the World Championships blindfolded he was also inducted into the World Black Belt Hall of Fame the same day as Bruce Lee.  He has subsequently just finished writing a book titled, A Champion’s Secret – The Andrew Wilson Story.

Wilson and Brasher had reached out to a number of celebrities to take part in the documentary with few results. Wilson had given a copy of the licensed, Broken Heart Stone book to Katherine Jackson, Michael’s mother, Celine Dion, Tito Jackson, Michael’s brother, 50 Cent, the celebrity rapper and others. Wilson gave them the opportunity to get involved. Wilson stated; “I know entertainers must put a gate around them and they have busy schedules. I get it, but this book is really all about Michael, the Stone and his fans who deserve to know this untold story.”

Wilson claims he has one more personal contact to make with a huge MJ fan named Melania, who lives in the White House in Washington D.C. before the final edits are done

Wilson and Brasher have reached out to people in the Prescott area with great success such as Helen Stephenson, Founder and Executive Director of the Prescott Film Festival and the Director of the YC Film & Media Arts Program. She started the festival in 2008, and remains the Executive Director, providing guidance, vision and overseeing all operations. She curates the films for guest filmmakers, actors, screenwriter’s workshop presenters and has year-round screenings for the film festival held on the Yavapai College Prescott Campus. Wilson commented, “Helen is a huge fan of Michael and is also an Emmy Winner for a documentary in 2018. She was so kind to lend us their Academy Award prop, the “Oscar” for a local Prescott Magazine cover-photo-shoot during the film festival season.” Audrey Semprun, publisher of the magazine entered its cover for the magazine’s trade, cover-photo-competition. Semprun commented, “This was one of my favorite cover stories. I enjoyed interviewing Wilson and Brasher. The story they are bringing to life is long overdue.”

 Wilson shared that Brasher, Executive Producer of the documentary, was undoubtedly very talented in movie making and presentation. “I worked at Universal MCA in licensing many years ago in creating over 50 film projects. I worked with some of the best and Brasher, without a doubt is one of the most gifted I’ve seen. The documentary has become more detailed and brings out highlight moments of the journey of the Stone I never even considered. He is truly a maverick in independent film-making.”

Brasher intends to license the film worldwide in 10 languages. The screening is a work in progress and his intent is to get feedback from film students and others from all ages, for the initial screening so that the documentary can be fine-tuned to perfection before its official release in 2026. Wilson, who worked in the same building as Steven Spielberg in the 1980’s often witnessed private screenings by various filmmakers to get early feedback on various film projects.  Brasher picked up this concept and has said, “If it’s good enough for the pros, It’s good enough for this project. This is the biggest film project I have undertaken so far. It took 5-years to create the first 8-minutes of the film and to see the finish line approaching is a great feeling.”

The documentary is ultimately intended for AMAZON PRIME, NETFLIX and other international licensing entities across the globe. Prescott is fortunate to have a local author that allowed the first work-in-progress and initial screening for the documentary.
