The Prescott Badgers got another solid performance from pitcher Travis Gates in a 13-1 win over the Lee Williams Volunteers in Kingman.
The Badgers jumped all over Lee Williams starter Lincoln Lewandowski scoring 5 runs chasing him after just getting one out. Drew Dougherty took over and kept Prescott from scoring anymore till the third inning.
The lead grew to 10-0 in the fifth inning as Gates continued to roll. Lee Williams managed their lone run in the bottom of the fifth. Gates ended his day allowing just one run on five hits with 12 strikeouts and the senior had fantastic control not allowing a walk. Gates said, “It was a good game for us. We hit the ball well and took care of business. I took care of my part on the mound and felt good out there and kept them in check. Moving forward we need to keep building on getting better each game especially with Flagstaff coming up next week.”
William Horn came in to pitch the final two innings, striking out three, as the Badgers improved to (5-2) in the Grand Canyon Region and (13-7) overall.
Kaden Lampe had the big bat picking up four hits that included two doubles and 4 RBIs. William Horn had three hits and 2 RBIs.Matt Hepperle had a pair of doubles and 2 RBIs. Gates helped his own cause out with two hits including a double and 2 RBIs. Nick Martin had two hits and scored twice.
Prescott is currently ranked at #15 In Division 4A and will host Lee Williams today at 3pm.

The Trinity Christian Warriors improve to (7-1) with a 5-2 win over Flagstaff Christian.
Tommy Kleinjan went three for three. Ethan Feddema had two hits and an RBI. Zeek Chun picked up an RBI. Carson Matock had a triple.
Ashton Monahan earned the win by going four innings allowing just one hit while striking out eight. Two runs came across in the top of the fourth, but both were unearned. Connor Wallace came in and blanked Flagstaff Christian (4-4), allowing just one hit while striking out four. The Warriors have three road games before returning home for their final regular season game at home on April 21 versus Gila Bend. Game time is 4pm at Antelope Park in Prescott Valley.

The Bears suffered a five inning setback to the Flagstaff Eagles 11-1. Jace Adama picked up the win while Nitrsh Patel took the loss. Brody Johnson hit a home run for the Eagles to improve to (11-5) on the season, (6-1) in the Grand Canyon Region.
Braydin Golden had an RBI single to score Patel for the only run in the fourth inning for the Bears who fall to (5-1) and (7-12). Bradshaw Mountain is ranked #23 in the latest AIA Division 4 rankings with Flagstaff sitting at #9.

The other game in Kingman saw the Prescott Badgers knock off the Lee Williams Volunteers 5-0. Madison Ballou picked up the win going 6 innings by scattering 5 hits. Kaylin Pinarelli came in to finish the game off in the seventh. Pinarelli also had two hits including a double. Amilya Zahn went four for four and had one of the two RBIs in the game. The other was singled in by Roselyn Martinez. Another Badger, Belle Mazon had a pair of singles.
Prescott improves to (5-1) in the Grand Canyon Region and (12-4) overall. The Badgers are ranked at #5 in Division 4A. Lee WIlliams falls to (3-5) and (6-10). The two teams meet again today at Prescott High School. Game time is 4pm.

Bradshaw Mountain lost a Grand Canyon Region game to the Flagstaff Eagles 12-1 in Prescott Valley. Jaslene Valentine hit a home run in the bottom of the first for the only run in the game for the Bears.
Mayle Speer and Cailee Culwell each hit a home run for #8 Flagstaff as they improved to (6-1) in the Grand Canyon regions and (17-5) overall. Bradshaw Mountain falls to (3-3) and (7-8).
The #23 ranked Bears make the trip to Flagstaff today in hopes of returning the favor. Game time is 3:45pm.
