Sometimes figures are so big that it’s hard to get your brain around them. Here, The Associated Press approximates what that kind of money could buy if it was broken down to smaller — and even individual — levels.
The Pentagon provided the estimate to Congress in a briefing earlier this week, according to a person familiar with the situation who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss the private meeting. Here’s a quick look at what that amount of money could buy:
