It was a defensive and physical battle throughout with Bradshaw Mountain scoring the only points of the entire first half. The Bears put together a drive led by quarterback Morgan Gosik, but ultimately had to settle on a 19 yard field goal with nine minutes left in the second quarter by Trista Polley for a 3-0 lead. Gosik led the Bears with 106 yards rushing.

The Bears were looking to add to their lead later in the quarter, but Brinkley Larson picked off a pass to end that threat. Larson said, “I was on the receiver and saw the ball headed this way. I just went in front of her and picked it.” About the game, Larson added, “It was a rough game at the beginning. We knew it was going to be a tough game and our defense did a great job tonight keeping them out of the end zone. It feels really good to get this win.”

In the third quarter, the Badgers put together a drive to take the lead. Rianna Aguilar swept around the near sideline diving across the goal line on a 9 yard run. Mallory Walsh added the extra point and Prescott led 7-3 with 5:52 left in the quarter.

The Badgers went up 14-3 a minute in to the fourth quarter when Rylee Hart threw a 13 yard pass to Maggie Maneely. Hart said, “I was able to see Maggie was open and got her the ball and she did the rest. It was a rough game for both teams. Everybody was working very hard and it became so physical.”

Hart kept her composure throughout and it showed statistically, completing 21 of 27 passes for 220 yards. “I felt good out there knowing my teammates were right there with me and making plays when we needed it. It was the difference in the game.”

Prescott (5-0) in the Grand Canyon Region and (13-2) overall will travel to Kingman on Monday to face the Lee Williams Volunteers in their regular season finale before hosting a first round playoff game.

Bradshaw Mountain, ranked #13 is (2-4), (6-6), and has completed their regular season.
