The Prescott Fire Department (PFD) responded to a residential fire incident that occurred late Friday night, October 17, 2025, at the Evergreen Villages apartment complex, located at 211 Bradshaw Drive.

PFD crews were dispatched at 10:48 p.m. to a possible structure fire. They found that a small stove fire had caused smoke in the apartment and the surrounding hallway.

Fire crews immediately began to ventilate the building and completed a primary and secondary search of the area, confirming the fire was contained and extinguished prior to their arrival. The rapid action of residents and the swift response of PFD units prevented the incident from escalating.

The primary focus shifted to medical triage due to the presence of heavy smoke. Multiple patients required evaluation from Lifeline Ambulance (LLA) units that responded to the scene. In total, three patients were transported to Yavapai Regional Medical Center West (YRMCW) for evaluation, primarily for smoke inhalation and one patient for a ground-level fall.

The scene was cleared, and the incident concluded 90 minutes after the initial call. “This event underscores the importance of functioning smoke alarms and quick action by residents,” said Battalion Chief Jeff Moffitt, “We urge everyone to remain vigilant about kitchen safety, regularly replace batteries in their smoke alarms. and to evacuate immediately when an alarm sounds.”
