Structure Fire on Old Miner Road, Groom Creek Fire District

On the morning of August 21st, 2025, units from Groom Creek Fire District, Prescott Fire Department, Central Arizona Fire and Medical Authority, U.S Forest Service, Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office, and Life Line Ambulance were dispatched to the area of Old Miner Road for a working structure fire.

The initial call was reported to Station 41, for smoke in the area of E. Stagecoach Rd. Engine 41 was able to use a drone to locate the area of the fire. Fortunately the residence, used as an Air BnB, was vacant at time of the fire.

Due to the area that the fire was located in, a water shuttle operation with multiple water tenders was set up. During this time, Old Miner Rd had to be closed for the safety of crews and operations.

There were no injuries to firefighter or civilians in this incident. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.

We would like to thank our partner agencies for their support on this incident.
