This is one of those hard truths that have to be told.
DC Home Rule has taken urban crime to a whole new level.
You would think the locals would welcome less crime. But their hatred of Trump and the people who elected him overwhelms all reason.
Our family lived in the DC area during my husbands military assignments. A big part of the city is totally off limits. Unless you want to get mugged. Or worse. Even the downtown area and cultural attractions are dicey after dark.
Trump’s crackdown will only work while the troops are there. When they leave violence and anarchy will return. We need a long term fix.
Move the Capitol?
