The 4th of July week is upon us and that means not only to celebrate our beloved country, but the World’s Oldest Rodeo and everything that goes along with it.
The theme this year is “Tipping Our Hats to the Women in Rodeo.” The annual parade will be held in downtown Prescott on Saturday, July 5, at 9am. This years’ Grand Marshal honoree is 96 year old cowgirl Nancy Sheppard.
Nancy, who could ride, train horses, and trick rope, along with many other legendary Cowgirls who have paved the way for the ladies in rodeo will be honored.
There are numerous activities to get out and enjoy throughout the week. Here is a list of some of your options. Have fun and be safe!
