The Vegas Knight Hawks used a big second quarter to take a thirty point lead into halftime and cruised to a 63-43 win over the Northern Arizona Wranglers.

The game was close with Vegas taking a 14-13 lead midway through the first quarter. When former Wrangler Quentin Randolph rushed in from two yards out, it was the first of five straight touchdowns that would cover the remainder of the first half, putting Vegas on top 43-13 at the half.

The Wranglers were able to get the offense going again but they were chasing way more than they could get back.

Randolph finished with a TD run, and a pair of pass receptions, had this to say, “I love Prescott Valley and always like coming back here to play. The Wranglers gave me my start.” About his Knight Hawks team, “We’ve had our share of ups and downs and just got above 500, but I think we’re catching steam right now. I really like our offensive line. They are a bunch of dogs that gives our quarterback time to make something good happen.”

Knight Hawk Antonio Wimbush had the best all around game with 4 touchdowns, 2 on the ground and 2 through the air. Jayden De Laura completed 11-14 for 140 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Northern Arizona quarterback Ramone Atkins was 23-42 with 2 touchdowns and 3 interceptions. Marvin Kinsey rushed for 36 yards and two touchdowns. Arland Bruce had 2 TDs, scoring the first and last Wrangler TDs in the game. The first coming on a 55 yard kickoff  return and the other coming at the very end of the game through the air from Atkins. Kobe Smith had the other TD reception.

Kieran Page led the team in tackles and had the only interception of De Laura.

The Wranglers will host San Diego on Saturday at 6:05 pm.
