The Elks Theater in Prescott is alive and kicking this summer as bands and vocal groups roll into town for concerts that will thoroughly entertain you and will bring back a nostalgic element that many of us can relate to.
The Chicago Experience played to a packed house with a mix of many of Chicago’s classic hits that included the rock with horns sound.
Mathew Holter and Chach Snook took turns and also shared in some of the most memorable lyrics ever written by Chicago. Songs like “Saturday in The Park”, “Just You N’ Me”, “Feelin’ Stronger Every Day”, and their finale “25 or 6 to 4”, got the place really jumping. The power ballads of “Hard to Say I’m Sorry” and “Hard Habit to Break”, gave some of those attendees an opportunity to get in a slow dance.

Towards the end of the Chicago Experience show, the band put out a teaser for show coming to the Elks Theater in two weeks, on June 20th. The Southwest Tenors consist of a quartet that brings a little bit of everything to the table. Their songs range from opera, musicals, and rock. You’ll hear a little bit of Linda Ronstadt, a southwestern sound with a little spice, and a little bit of sweetness. Along with the four vocalists will be a band to elevate the atmosphere.
The Southwest Tenors play the Elks Theater on Friday, June 20. The show begins at 7pm with a few good seats still available. More information and tickets can found at the website.
The show was developed about a year and a half ago and this will be the first time ever playing in Prescott.
