Lyle Rapacki, host of Yavapai Speaks, talks to Kristin Baumgartner, the newly elected chair of the Yavapai County Republican Party (YavGOP). Ms. Baumgartner has a technical background, but has also worked in marketing, and communications. She has also been a General Manager.
She explains the hierarchy and some of the inner workings of the party, and how she decided to run after being a precinct committeeman (PC) for a number of years. She feels that her training as a General Manager is helping her to set up goals, and a strategic plan for the County Committee.
Kristin points out that fundraising is very important for the committee, and she will be working on that aspect, as well as recruiting more PCs.
