The Prescott Badgers got an early lift from Sebashtyn Vanderploeg who scored 13 first half points to build a start to finish lead in the Badgers 80-42 win over the Bradshaw Mountain Bears. The win gives Prescott another sweep of their rival. In the first meeting the Badgers overcame a slow start and won 64-42.

Vanderploeg said, “I was just kinda in the flow tonight. I was hitting everything in warm-ups and figured I would just let it fly. It is always a lot of fun to win these type of games.”

After a 26-15 first quarter lead, Prescott took the game completely over with a pressure defense that forced numerous Bears turnovers and transition baskets for the Badgers. The half ended with Prescott on top 48-25.

The lead kept on growing and the Badgers were able to get some quality time for their bench players even after the running clock took over.

Cam Ranniker led the Bears who slipped to third place in the region with 11 points.

Tenette said, “It was fun to go out and win this last game with them. Sebashtyn came out and hit some big shots for us early, Cooper had a good game and Zane was taking care of the inside. It was great to see everybody get in and be a part of the win.”

Magnett said, “It is always so much fun playing them and for most of us this is our last time. We were ready to get at it. When we saw the people coming out of the tunnel it brought us good nerves.”
