The Prescott Lady Badgers needed a fourth quarter surge in order to beat the Mingus Lady Marauders 47-41 in the Badger Dome.
Prescott jumped on top early to lead by as much as 13, at 24-11 with three minutes left in the second quarter.

Addie Prisciandaro had a big first half with 11 points and Bella Abt scored ten, as Prescott built a 27-17 halftime lead.
The Lady Badgers offense went ice cold in the third quarter. A bucket by Kylee Murdock and one free throw by Prisciandaro was all Prescott could come up with as the Lady Marauders fought their way back into the game.
Trailing for the first time in the game 31-30 at the end of the third quarter, Rylee Hobson sparked the team and the crowd with a huge three point basket to put Prescott up 33-31.
Hobson said, “I have been practicing those shots and my teammates have been encouraging me to take them, so tonight I did.”

The play got more physical as the game remained tight throughout the third quarter. Prescott held the lead for nearly five minutes until Savannah Tobias sunk a long range jumper to tie the game at 39. Abt, who led all scorers with 20 points, went to work inside powering her way through traffic for a basket, then added a pair of free throws, and the Lady Badgers led 43-39.
Prisciandaro knocked down a pair of free throws to make it 45-39 and Abt was fouled, then sinking two more free throws for a 47-39 lead with under a minute to play.
Mingus could not get the lid off the basket and scored just two points in the final three minutes.
Abt said, “This game is like my biggest rivalry since I played against number 43(Savannah Tobias), I have something about this game that is super important to me and I always want to perform for myself and for my team, the coaches and everyone. I was not happy with the way we played in our last game and this is definitely a good feeling after the way we played at Flag.”
Prescott takes sole possession of second place and are (3-1) in the Grand Canyon Region and (14-5) overall, while Mingus drops to (5-2) and (16-4).The Lady Badgers will travel on Friday to face Mohave at 7 pm.
