First Floor of the Prescott Valley Public Library will be closed for Carpet Replacement February 5 – April 4, 2025

Prescott Valley Public Library (PVPL) patrons will need to adjust their library routine in the coming months as the first floor of the Library undergoes carpet replacement. The entire first floor will not be accessible while this project is underway, from roughly February 3 to April 4.

During this time, Library staff will make every effort to ensure minimal disruption to patrons. Most services will be temporarily relocated to the second floor. This includes public computers and printers, a temporary check-out desk, and access to new books and DVDs, puzzles, Lucky Day items, and holds.

Some services will be unavailable during the renovation period. Patrons will not be able to access the Library’s fiction collection, DVDs, or the Library of Things on the first floor. All Library programming will also be moved to the second floor. Children’s services and story time programming will continue as usual.

The PC lab on the second floor will have 10 laptops available to the public for 30-minute sessions. Only black and white printing will be available, and patrons must have exact change to release their print jobs as the cash register and credit card machine will not be available. Donations for the Bookstore can be placed in the red cart on the second floor, located by the Info Desk.

The carpet replacement is being covered by settlement funds from a previous lawsuit, not taxpayer dollars. Library hours will remain the same: Monday-Thursday 9am-7pm; Friday 9am-5pm; Saturday 9am-3pm; and Sunday 11am-3pm.

Our PVPL staff is committed to providing the best possible service during this time of temporary inconvenience. For questions or more information, please call PVPL at 928-759-3040.

  1. The greatest value service in Prescott Valley by far. No cost rentals of music and movies plus friendly – helpful service daily; what could be better? How about looking up books and movies at home on your “device” and be notified when it has been made available to you from any library in Yavapai County and put in a location for your pick up at the PV library. With cable or satellite TV service going up reading and watching movies at home is an even better deal!
You can support our library with your cash donations and books you no longer want. Much of the costs of new product purchased by the library are funded in this way. Get your FREE library card and begin enjoying no cost entertainment today.
