Small Plane Makes an Emergency Landing just West of Prescott Regional Airport

At approximately noon today, Prescott Fire Engine 73 and Battalion 1, along with Central Arizona Fire and Medical Engine 62, Life Line Ambulance, and Prescott Police Department responded to an emergency plane landing just west of the airport.

Initial reports indicate the plane experienced a loss of power, and the pilot was attempting to return to the airport when an emergency landing became necessary. Thankfully, there were no injuries, and the pilot safely executed the landing without further incident. The cause of the mechanical issue is under investigation.

We commend the quick thinking and skill of the pilot, as well as the coordinated response of all emergency personnel.
